| Oleg Semenov had four RBIs and the Shiroky brothers combined on a 2-hitter as Spartak blanked RusStar 10-0 at the SKA-29 stadium.
Semenov drove in the go-ahead run in the 1st with a two-out ground rule double to right, then made the score 3-0 with a two-run single to center in the 3rd. He brought home another run in the 5th inning on a squeeze bunt. The third baseman leads Spartak with a .385 average and 13 RBIs, that's nine ribbies ahead of anybody else. Anton Shiroky (1-1) scattered two hits and five walks over six scoreless frames, striking out eight. His younger brother Alexei finished the game with a 1-2-3 seventh inning. RusStar's starting pitcher Ilia Sorokin (0-1) was tagged for nine hits, including four doubles and Oleg Borovikov's solo homer. |
