| Moskvich took sole possession of first place with a 17-13 victory over RusStar, improving its record to 3-1.
First-year pitcher Andrei Anashkin (1-0) allowed only one earned run over his five innings of work. The left-hander lowered his ERA to a team-leading 2.57. With the game tied 10-10 after seven innings, Moskvich went ahead on a squeeze play with the bases full and one out in the 8th. The rookie second baseman Kirill Fedotov's bunt on the first pitch turned into a single as pitcher Valentin Alexandrov (0-1) did not throw the ball anywhere. Anashkin, the next batter, lined a two-run single off the glove of RusStar's shortstop and Vladimir Timakov, 4-for-4 with two walks for the day, followed with a two-run triple to left. RusStar had a potential tying run at the plate with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth, but Andrei Gavrilov popped out to second and Mikhail Ilyukhin grounded out to Oleg Korneev, Moskvich's third pitcher of the game. Vladimir Muratov became the fourth player in RusStar's history to get five hits in a game, joining Yury Perepelitza (now with VVIA), Valery Platonov (Spartak) and Korneev.
