| Dmitri Likhin (1-0) had a perfect day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with three walks, and pitched three final innings for the victory as Moskvich won a RL game for the first time since August 15th, 1993.
Moskvich build a quick 4-run lead against left-hander Alexei Rzhevsky (0-1) on eight walks and three wild pitches. 15-year old rookie right-hander Evgeny Petukhov kept Spartak in the game with six solid innings in his RL debut, but Spartak offense got only three hits and did a poor job of getting on base for slugger Valery Platonov, who saw only one runner aboard in his four trips to the plate. |
